·Direct and manage the firefighting team/resources to ensure effective containment during emergency situations.
·Execute the testing, inspection and maintenance of fire detection systems, fixed and moveable fire protection equipment and safety equipment to support equipment reliability.
·Execute the scheduled BA, refresher and firefighting courses to ensure competence of company personnel.
·Execute the inspection and maintenance of BA, rescue and safety equipment to support equipment reliability.
·Supervise all activities of assigned Security Shift personnel, including the preparation of shift schedules and ensure Security Shift personnel discipline at all times.
·Conduct regular and random inspections in the Refinery areas to ensure compliance of all concerned personnel to fire safety regulations and promote high standards of firefighting readiness.
·Receive and review fire safety daily reports and ensure that all fire related reports and information are well maintained and updated for easy future reference.
·Coordinate with the Investigator to facilitate fire related investigations of accidents/incidents. Recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
·Perform fire risk assessment for the Refinery and identify existing and potential threats in conjunction with all concerned personnel within and outside Sasref.
·Liaise with local Government Security Agencies to address all security issues and concerns and design and develop emergency/evacuation plans to ensure an integrated response to all kind of threats.
·Promote on-the-job training schedules, development of working skills and sound operational experience of the Fire Shift personnel.
·Respond to actual incidents/accidents, emergencies, disasters and fires in accordance with the established procedures and action plans.
·Conduct spot checks of actions within the shift to ensure the ability of the shift personnel to respond to real incidents in a prompt and effective manner.
·Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

·Ensure that measures to protect personal safety and well-being are always in place and that personal actions do not jeopardize the safety and well-being of others.
·Adhere strictly to all IOWs, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Instructions - thus preventing potential WPS and PSM incidents at all times.

Qualifications & Experience :
·Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent.
·Min. of 6 years of experience
